There are several pockets of magic that remain in the Kinship Thrones even after most Makhori fled to Itrea.

Cashabree is home to several magic races that pre-date the Makhori.

The people of Varrival have their own magic powers, especially related to detecting water in the desert. 

​

The minority races in Kohlmarsh and Northreach are both descendents of the original Makhori who left the Old Land, and typically have different manifestations of power than those seen in Itrea. 

​

And ordinary citizens of the other Kinship Thrones occasionally end up with magic powers, which they try to hide. These people have magic ancestry somewhere along the line, either from the Makhori or from one of the other minority races.
